Bike for Books 2011: Register now! Sunday 4th September
Join us for this year's literary-themed ride from London to east Sussex, raising funds for Book Aid International on Sunday 4th September.
This 55 mile cycle ride will start at the Book Aid International head office in south east London, take in the beautiful sussex countryside and the delights of Bateman’s - the 17th century home of Rudyard Kipling - and end with a party for all participants in the charming village of Burwash.
Start: 9am - Book Aid International HQ, Camberwell, London SE5 9NR
Finish: 5pm - Burwash, East Sussex TN19.
Last year, Book Aid International's Bike for Books event raised almost £16,000 enabling us to send 8,000 books to libraries across sub-Saharan Africa. We hope to top this fundraising amount this year!
You can register for this event for just £30 per person, which includes breakfast at our start point in London, snacks en route and food and drink at the end of route party. We'll also provide a Book Aid International T-shirt or vest.
*If you book 5 places, you can register a 6th team mate for free*
Each participant is asked to raise a minimum of £300 in sponsorship, enough to send at least 150 books to libraries in sub-Saharan Africa, and the Book Aid International team will provide you with full fundraising support.
We know that books change lives. To play your part, register now for Bike for Books. For more information email
