Teaching in London - LewishamLewisham is a district based in South London, with good transport links to and from the centre. There is a long high street, full of diverse shops, markets and people. There is also an annual programme of themed markets, which include French, Polish, International and a market made up of local traders.
Blackheath is Lewisham’s centre, with many pubs, restaurants and café’s in an appealing village-like atmosphere with charming cafes and Victorian churches. The heath itself has great views, with tranquil ponds, vast open spaces and big Georgian houses around the edges

There is a historic riverfront with old warehouses and as the land inclines, further south, there are excellent views looking north over the river and Docklands, from Telegraph Hill and Hilly Fields.
