Headteacher Consultants PDF Print E-mail

TimePlan, as part of its agreement with teachers and schools is concerned to ensure that all the teachers and school support staff that are on assignment with us are happy and successful.  We currently have two headteacher consultants who both have a huge amount of experience visiting our staff in schools.

Maureen Stevens B.Ed (Hons) LNCP AMFIC

My early career started in the commercial sector in Insurance and then Human Resources. Subsequently I moved into Education and for many years was a secondary teacher and also a member of the senior leadership team in a North London school. I have been responsible for many aspects of school management in particular Newly Qualified Teachers and the continious development of staff. I have also worked with both the Institute of Education and Middlesex University in respect of the Initial Teacher Training. I am a qualified psychotherapist and member of the National Council of Psychotherapists, and an associate member of the Federation of Image Consultants.

Prior to commencing work with TimePlan as a Headteacher Consultant in March 2009 I was Regional Co-ordinator for an organisation providing development acaching to yound people in schools. I have worked in London and Leicester as a Professional Development Consultant and have experience coaching students and staff in a cross setion of educational establishments. As a Headteacher consultant I am able to use the caried experience i have gained throughout my career, so that working with the TimePlan team we can ensure that the needs and requirements of schools are understood and successfully met. I am privileged to work with such dedicated and professional consultants at TimePlan; to have the oppurtunity to meet so many talented and interesting teachers and to visit many outstanding and successful schools.

Nigel Rowlands LWCMD, Advanced Certificate in Professional Studies in Education, QTS

Prior to taking up my Headteacher Consultant post with TimePlan Education Group Ltd, I served for a number of years on the leadership teams of two London schools.  One was a vibrant inner-city, Community Secondary school in the heart of Westminster that has since become a City Academy and the other, a well known City Technology College specialising in the Performing Arts.  I have since been employed in an advisory and inspection capacity across London and nationally and have been lucky enough to visit literally hundreds of schools and academies and to work for a range of educational bodies.

What strikes me most about working in London is the enormous demographic difference between each area and between individual schools and academies.  What this means in practice, is that teachers from all types of backgrounds can find a school that they feel comfortable in, mix with students they feel comfortable teaching and therefore have the opportunity to give of their best; there really is something for everyone here!
