In the ‘view’ below, you will see the National Strategy site:  http://nationalstrategies.standards.dcsf.gov.uk opened at the Primary tab and showing the assessment information.  If you are a Secondary teacher, go to the same site but open it on the tab next door labelled ‘Secondary’.  Have a good look at the contents, particularly sections relating to APP (Assessing Pupil Progress), which is being rolled-in to all schools.  Included in the site, there are exemplar materials to help you make judgements about standards achieved.

Bear in mind that all schools will use the same framework for assessment, but that systems for recording assessment will be based on what is best for individual schools, so there is no National template.
